This easy pizza recipe is a deep dish pizza, Chicago style, without the hassle and large travel expense.
Easy Deep-Dish Pizza Ingredients
2 28oz cans of whole tomatoes, drained
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbs fresh parsley, chopped
1 ½ tsp oregano, dried
1 tsp basil, dried
3 tsp olive oil
1 pound bread or pizza dough
4 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
7 oz pepperoni slices
½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Easy Deep-Dish Pizza Directions
Preheat oven to 425F.
Chop tomatoes, and mix with garlic, parsley, oregano and basil.
Press dough into a greased deep-dish pizza pan.
Spoon out half the herb and tomato mixture onto the dough, then layer with half of the mozzarella and pepperoni slices.
Add the remaining tomatoes, then another layer of cheese and pepperoni.
Top with Parmesan.
Drizzle the top with olive oil, and bake for 40 minutes until the cheese begins to brown on the top.
